About Telangana Intellectuals Association (TIA)

Telangana Intellectuals Association (TIA) was promoted by retired employees and self-employed business entrepreneurs and got registered on 5-8-2023 under the Telangana Societies Registration act 2001 vide registration number 731/2023.

The members of associations include retired employees from agriculture department, Agriculture University and Agriculture Research field, Banking sector self-employed entrepreneurs, Business sector and retired employees from government and private corporate institutions.

TIA serves as a platform for multi disciplinary discussion and to increase awareness amongst farmers, agro entrepreneurs about the improved scope in agriculture, Horticulture, and Agribusiness sectors by disseminating latest research findings under agriculture and allied sectors including nonfarm sectors. Besides agriculture and rural sector, the TIA also focus on improving Rural education, literacy, sanitation, primary health and undertake activities which promote the Indian culture and national integrity. Present membership of TIA is 75 members.

The main objectives of TIA:The main objectives of TIA:

  1. To create awareness on protecting the environment, use of natural resources available, health and safety of farm workers, Rural communities, and the society.

  2. To enhance the production and productivity of Agri, Horticulture crops, deploying innovative technologies and linking farmers to institutions, input and Output linkages.

  3. Conduct awareness programs on Government (Central, State) Support schemes; impart technical support to various farmers' associations/organizations in establishment and management of agro- based industry, fishery, animal husbandry and poultry enterprises

  4. To develop, support, promote, and offer consultancy services in modern agriculture, horticulture, allied activities, organic farming, seed production and storage, scientific and innovative production practices, and non-farm sector activities in an eco–friendly Sustainable environment to the farming community

  5. To create awareness, encourage and motivate rural unemployed youth to take up startup ventures in the field of Hi-Tech agriculture, animal husbandry and agro processing activities and value addition.

  6. Conduct awareness programs on the policies and procedures of National Governments, State Governments, and their respective govt. departments for the benefit of farmers and people. Conducting Survey on issues and problems related to production and livelihoods.

  7. To raise or acquire funds or property from central government, state government, foreign agencies, non-government agencies, Individuals, charitable trusts, by way of donations or grants or contributions or by taking loans from public or private financial institutions.

  8. To create awareness in rural and semi urban areas, about literacy, education, health, sanitation and to provide feedback and suggestions to the government and stake holders for improve performance in these sectors

  9. To preserve, protect and promote India’s price less heritage of art and culture and to inculcate the essential values and ideas of ancient Indian culture among the younger generation. Carryon activities of cultural, intellectuals, social and any other related activities to promote spirit of national integration

TIA prepared a comprehensive focus paper/policy paper on Telangana Agriculture to improve agriculture production and productivity duly suggesting thrust areas to be focused to improve income of farmers. Also conducted in depth studies on Dharani portal, Kaleswaram irrigation project and various ongoing welfare schemes in Telangana and suggested corrective steps to be taken for better implementation. TIA also Conducted several awareness programs on agriculture and suggested better management practices, value addition to the farmers for improved incomes on agriculture production and productivity.
